Toronto's Entertainment District Welcomes March Break

TORONTO, March 16, 2015 /CNW/ - Family based offers during this March Break extend well beyond The District's regular activities. A wide array of innovative, engaging and value-added, exclusive March Break activities in The District run March 16 through to March 22, 2015.
The fun reaches from the sea level of the Ripleyꞌs Aquarium of Canada, to live performances of The Heart of Robin Hood at the Royal Alexandra Theatre, The National Ballet stage at the Four Seasons Centre for the Performing Arts and fun on ice with Disney On Ice inside Rogers Centre. March Break activities are also packaged up for family overnights at The Ritz-Carlton,Toronto, The Fairmont Royal York and InterContinental Toronto Centre Hotel. Sea level fun during March Break begins at Ripley's Aquarium of Canada. Families can get a head start on their March Break enjoyment when the aquarium opens an hour earlier at 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. with free coffee and SunRype snacks, served daily each morning until 9:00 a.m. The extended hours begin on March 16 and run through to March 20, 2015.
A new stage adventure, The Heart of Robin Hood, has extended its performances through March Break at the Royal Alexandra Theatre until March 29, 2015. Additional matinee performances have also been added throughout March Break. This raucous and thrilling production explodes off the stage with swashbuckling, acrobatics, comedy, romance and original music written and performed by the celebrated indie roots band Parsonsfield. The District, known for its bars, restaurants and dance floors, is also home to performances by The National Ballet of Canada. The company will bring Alice's Adventures in Wonderland to the stage at the Four Seasons Centre for the Performing Arts. The show opens on March 14 and runs through to March 29, 2015.
